TOEIC Test Schedule: Dates, Registration and Score Release

How the TOEIC schedule works: number of annual sessions, how to check upcoming dates, registration windows, fees and score release timing.

The TOEIC Test Schedule at a Glance

In Korea, the regular TOEIC is held about 26 times a year. Sessions usually run 2 to 3 times per month, mostly on Sundays, with some sittings on a Saturday. If you are job hunting, lining up a session around your graduation, job application, or internship deadlines matters. Because the sessions and exact dates shift a little every year, this guide focuses on how to check the live schedule and register rather than memorizing specific dates.

Where to Find the Exact Schedule

The TOEIC in Korea is administered by YBM (한국TOEIC위원회). Every session, along with its registration windows, test date, and score release date, is published on the schedule page of the official site toeic.co.kr. Dates are refreshed each year, so the most reliable information is always on the official page.

  • Go to toeic.co.kr: the schedule menu shows the full list of sessions for the year.
  • Check each session: every session lists its regular registration window, late registration window, test date, and score release date.
  • Set a reminder: if you have a target session, mark the regular registration opening day in your calendar in advance.

Registration Windows: Regular, Late, and Special Late

TOEIC registration typically opens in three stages. Knowing what each one means helps you secure a seat and avoid unnecessary extra fees.

Stage What it means
Regular (정기접수)The first and main window. The fee is lowest and you get the widest choice of test centers.
Late (추가접수)Opens after regular registration closes. An extra fee may apply and remaining seats are limited.
Special late (특별추가접수)A final chance shortly before the test, offered only for some sessions. Seats sell out the fastest.

Registration tip: sessions that overlap with hiring season and Saturday sittings are popular, and seats fill up fast. If you already know your preferred test center and date, the safest move is to register the moment regular registration opens. Wait until late registration and your nearby center is often already full.

Registration Fee

The standard regular registration fee for the TOEIC in Korea is 52,500 KRW. Registering during the late or special late windows can add an extra fee, so target the regular window to save money. There are separate rules for date changes and refunds after payment, so check the official site before you register.

What to Bring and Test Day

Once you are registered, get these ready for test day.

  • ID: bring a valid government-issued ID (resident registration card, driver's license, or passport). Check the accepted ID list on the official site.
  • Admission ticket: printing or checking the ticket issued after registration helps you confirm your test center location and entry time.
  • Arrive on time: you cannot sit the test once the entry cutoff passes, so give yourself a buffer.

When Are the Results Released?

TOEIC results are usually released within about 2 weeks of the test date. On release day you can log in to toeic.co.kr to view your score, which is reported out of 990 with separate Listening and Reading sections. For the exact release date, how to view your score, and how to get your score report, see our TOEIC results guide. Scores are valid for 2 years, and many large companies (including Samsung) only accept scores from the last 2 years, so choose your session with your application timing in mind.

Which Session Should You Pick?

If you are job hunting, rather than just grabbing any open session, work backward from your target score and application deadlines.

  • Count back from your deadline: since results take about 2 weeks, aiming for a session at least 3 weeks before your application deadline is a safe buffer.
  • Leave prep time: if the gap between your target and current level is large, look one session further ahead and give yourself enough time to prepare.
  • Keep a retake buffer: in case you do not hit your target on the first try, line up two or three candidate sessions before your deadline for peace of mind.

To plan your target score and fee together, see our TOEIC registration and fee guide, and if you are unsure what score to aim for, check our TOEIC scores and levels guide.
