Calculate your TOEIC® score
Enter the number of correct answers you got on Listening and Reading, and instantly read your estimated scaled score (10 to 990). Unofficial estimate.
Unofficial estimate, within about 5 to 20 points. ETS applies a form-specific conversion table (equating) to each test version, which this tool cannot reproduce exactly.
What is a TOEIC® score calculator?
A TOEIC® score calculator converts your number of correct Listening and Reading answers (your raw score) into the official 10 to 990 scaled score using ETS conversion ranges. You enter two numbers (0 to 100 per section) and the tool estimates your section score (5 to 495) and your total.
Why it is an estimate, not your official score
Each test form has a slightly different raw-to-scaled curve, because ETS applies a statistical process called equating to offset differences in difficulty. So the same number of correct answers can map to a small range of scaled scores, typically within about 5 to 20 points. This tool reproduces the average trend, not the exact (unpublished) table for your session.
How TOEIC® scores are calculated
- Count your number of correct answers per section (your raw score, out of 100).
- Run that raw score through the conversion range (equating) for your test form.
- Read the scaled section score, between 5 and 495.
- Add the Listening and Reading scores for the total (10 to 990).
There is no penalty for wrong answers, so answer every question. On average, a correct answer is worth about 5 points on the total, but the relationship is not linear (it weighs less near the 990 cap and more in the middle range).
